VANJA FROM OSTBLOCK ZURICH JUST INFORMED ME THAT SHE GOT  TWO NEW BRANDS AT OSTBLOCK ONE OF THEM IS ALTER & KISS:

The leading fashion house from the austro-hungarian empire has just been realaunched! In the 19th century, a&k made ballgowns for the likes of sissi and king of prussia. Now in the 21th century, they create garments for today’s new royals, regal punks and global partyers. The brand was revived in 2009 by its new creators, Central St. Martins graduates Gabor Fabricius and Mei Mei Ding. With a passion for fashion, they aim at creating contemporary classics, fashion must-haves, and that extra party piece you weren’t expecting to find, while keeping to the core values of the brand heritage: original design, fine materials, and distinctive craftsmanship. Every season, ALTER & KISS invites young international designers from top fashion schools across Europe to to design for the collection. For the AW 2009-10, this global network of talents include: Adrian Sommerauer and Dora Szilagyi from the Royal College of Art in London, Gunhyo Kim from the Royal Academy in Antwerp.
